Route description

Via the river ‘IJ’ you can reach the Sixhaven easily. The entrance of the marina is situated to the north side of this river at the level of the North Holland Canal. It is marked by a steel breakwater with orange sign SIXHAVEN.

Via ‘het IJsselmeer’ (lake IJssel)

When you have passed the Oranjesluis (lock) you should keep starboard. After the orange restaurant ‘Het Wilhelminadok’ and the ferry crossing on starboard side you will notice the Sixhaven breakwater in front of you.

Via the North Sea

Keep direction starboard till you are passing the Central Railway Station. Than you cross the river ‘IJ’ to the Northside. Please beware of the ferries and shipping traffic. The Sixhaven is situated beside the North-Holland Canal. Please do not enter this Canal, the entrance to the Sixhaven is on the other side (east side) of the marina.
